Creativity

This topic probably seems out of place when talking about self-care; however, when we are busy, we often get stuck in a rut. Being creative allows us to expand our thoughts. According to Crayola, "Creative people invent, imagine, problem-solve, create, and communicate in fresh, new ways." As adults, we need activities to help us work "outside the box."

Spend some time thinking about how you would like to be creative. Think about things you could do with your hands, inventions you could imagine, art you could create, words you could write, pictures you could take, music you could make, mashups you could envision, or anything that comes to mind.

Here are some things you could do right now to be creative:

Many people believe that they lack creativity; however, nearly everyone has creative ability in at least one area. Take this assessment from Test My Creativity to find yours. There are 40 questions to this assessment. At the end, you will be shown a wheel with eight metrics related to creativity. These should make you think about how you can be more creative.
